“Let’s ring in 2017 together! Join us for New Year’s Eve at PSB – “Frosted Formal”. DJ, food, midnight keg drop, special release brew, photos, commemorative glass, prizes (think best dressed and Frosted Formal court). Remember your winter formal? We do, and we’re going for it. All eras and any interpretation of “formal” are welcome – grab your friends for the best party in the best little neighborhood to ring in what’s bound to be the best year. The Spokane Symphony and Chorale will say goodbye to 2016 with a performance of Beethoven’s magnificent Ninth Symphony, joining revelers around the world in what is fast becoming an international tradition. Since Eckart Preu introduced the custom from his native Germany a few years ago, it has become an exciting part of the holiday festivities in Spokane. Beethoven’s masterpiece, sometimes called the “symphony of symphonies,” is considered by many to be the best and most joyous piece of music ever written. Can I reserve seats? Sorry, the seats are first come first served (unless you have purchased the VIP Rooms). We do not allow anyone to save seats as that just wouldn’t be fair to the other early birds now would it?
What should I wear? Dress like a Rock Star! Okay, maybe that’s a bit vague. Most people choose to dress up. We’re not talking ball gowns and black tie, but perhaps a nice shirt and sparkles. This is the perfect time to wear that sequin shirt in your closet!
