Spokane Boat Show

When: February 1st, 2017

Where:   Spokane County Fair & Expo Center

What: Jan. 28-Feb. 4. “Only in a Boat.” 63rd annual show featuring the biggest dealers in the region. Sponsored this February by the Spokane Yacht Club. Hours are Monday-Friday, noon-8 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Conquest of the Cage

When: February 3rd, 2017

Where: Northern Quest Resort & Casino

What: Conquest of the Cage returns to Northern Quest’s Pend Oreille Pavilion on Friday, February 3, featuring the return of UFC veteran Elizabeth Phillips. Known as one of the hardest hitting females in the world, this beautiful bruiser will come back to her hometown of Spokane. Promoter Rick Little says, “Elizabeth is flat out one of the 10 toughest women in the world. What a treat to have her compete locally.” The co-feature bout is a local grudge match between two homegrown Spokane KO artists, Dan Bolen and Adam Clark. Both men are known for their raw size, speed and amazing athleticism. This fight will undoubtedly end with a brutal finish and cement the winner as one of the toughest men in Spokane and the Pacific Northwest.

Silver Mountain Snowshoe / Fat Bike Race

When: February 4th, 2017

Where: Silver Mountain Ski Resort

What: Silver Mountain: SNOWSHOE AND FATBIKE RACE

Yep we did it again! Trail Maniacs is offering a snowshoe and a fat bike race at Silver Mountain. All abilities are welcome! This is not your typical snowshoe or fat bike event, think challenging and loads of FUN! A protion of the proceeds will be donated to the Silver Mountain Ski Patrol.

Both events will incorporate ¼ mile of groomed trail and the rest is all single track. What we have is a 2.75 mile loop that starts at the top of the tubing hill and then hits single track to the snowshoe trail. The trail itself is about 2.5 miles long and is a very moderate grade.

SNOWSHOE RACE: Snowshoe participants must wear snowshoes. Both regular snowshoes and special running snowshoes will work just fine. This is a fun and challenging event with proceeds donated to Silver Mountain’s Volunteer Ski Patrol. After the race enjoy hot chocolate and other fine beverages from Trail Maniacs. The snowshoe race will consist of a 2.7 mile course and a 2-lap 5.5 mile course.

FATBIKE RACE: The fat bike race will consist of the same 2.7 mile course, beginner riders will do two laps (5.5 mile) and advanced riders will do four laps (11 miles). Helmets and a fat bike with a minimum of a 4” wide tire are required. Please dress appropriately – you will work up a sweat on the climb and get cold on the descent.

 

Puppy Bowl IX

What: Join the Spokane Humane Society and our hosts The Yuppy Puppy, LLC for Puppy Bowl IX, sponsored by Nulo Pet Food Grizzly Pet Products.

See some of the best gr-r-r-rid iron action anywhere and adopt a furry new family member or just come to enjoy the puppies and The Yuppy Puppy (perhaps give the family dog a bath before the big super bowl party?!).

Team line ups will be announced closer to event date as well as Yuppy Puppy store specials! Adoptions are first come first adopt and will come with adoption gift bags from The Yuppy Puppy. Event lasts until 11:00 PM or until all puppies are adopted!

Animal Wellness Connections Pawtini Party

What: Join us for Animal Wellness Connection’s Positive Heart Funds “Paw-tini Party”. This event is dog friendly.
The mission of Pawsitive Heart Fund is to help raise funds for the purchase of wheel chairs, prosthetic devises or to help provide therapies such as hydrotherapy and strengthening and balancing rehab exercises that helps dogs recover from injuries, genetic or geriatric disabilities. It used to be that dogs challenged by their disabilities were automatically euthanized. Now medical advances in Veterinary medicine have made it so these kinds of dogs can now live a quality life with a little bit of help from us. By working and training each dog individually, we can help these dogs live a quality life with their families. Our primary focus is on dogs with physical disabilities. In performing this mission Pawsitive Heart Fund provides tangible and non-tangible support for the disabled dog. Please help us support these dogs. Hunting Film Tour

A Magical Masquerade Princess Ball

What: Wish Upon a Star Events Presents a Magical Masquerade Ball! Be introduced into the ballroom by one of our princes in true ball fashion and join us for one of our two sessions along with Snow White, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Sleeping Beauty, Prince Philip, Beauty, Prince Adam, The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, Prince Rider, The Ice Queen and our Polynesian Princess for a ball filled with special performances, dancing, photo opportunities with our professional photographer, dessert and coffee, mask making, princess make overs and more. We will have two sessions and doors will open 30 minutes before the beginning of each session!

Our events will begin by our princes announcing in each little princess or prince and escorting them each to their seat where they will create their very own mask. Backcountry Film Festival 2017
